WARNINGS AND SAFETY:
DANGER: Each TECHNILAMP* Luminaire's is fitted with PHILIP UV-C lights. Direct exposure to UV-C can be dangerous and result in a sunburn-like reaction to the skin and serious damage to the cornea. As UV-C is invisible to the eye, the UV-C luminaire must be used and installed in strict accordance with the requirements set forth in the user manual and/or the mounting instructions. TECHNILAMP* UV-C Luminaries must only be sold and installed by nominated Electrical and Air Conditioner Installers, that have been trained according to our stringent safety and legal requirements.
KEY GUIDELINES
TECHNILAMP* Luminaires are not certified or approved as a medical device, locally or globally, and should not be used as such. They should never be used in applications or activities that may cause and or lead to death, personal injury, and or damage to the environment.
UV-C lighting presents a minimal risk when used in the correct way. Direct exposure to UV-C is dangerous. The lighting must always be installed with adequate shields and safeguards (such as presence detection sensors or timers) to avoid light damage and severe injuries to the eyes and skin. TECHNILAMP* luminaires are not provided with the above-mentioned safeguards and are only intended to be used as components of air purification system that contain any safeguards indicated, but not limited to, those specified in mounting instructions and user manuals.

As determined by the law of Convection of airflow, that dictates that HOT air rises and COOL air descends, viruses attach to dust particles, and as part of the foreign pathogens move upwards, towards the kill zone.
CONVECTION OF AIR DICTATES...
that HOT air rises and COOL descends, this is enhanced by a fan or air conditioners that move pathogens upwards to the kill zone, air has a low absorption coefficient and hence allows UV-C to attack micro-organism present.
FOREIGN PATHOGENS ATTACH TO DUST...
as part of natural circulation dust particles moves with the flow of air, it is this movement of dust particles that moves the virus that is attached into the Kill zone at ceiling height where it is eliminated. this constant movement of air circulation purifies the air in a confined space.
HOW DO WE AFFECT CONVECTION OF AIR...
with more people in the room, their air density is less, we naturally emit warmth, this influence the temperature of the air around us, coming to contact with cool air, this forces the hot air upwards with the foreign pathogens included
Luminaire's are placed at ceiling height, with its patented design of reflectors and louvers beams a powerful narrow light, which is not directly exposed to human skin and eyes, below ceiling height, allowing for normal public activity to take place.
THE TECHNILAMP* PATENTED DESIGN...
emits a narrow band of UV-C light, is placed near the top of the celling and achieves two objectives, not to expose light to human contact and provide a powerful narrow beam of light that eliminates foreign airborne pathogens, across the whole ceiling ensuring flat broad coverage.
PHILIPS UV LAMPS (UV-C) - CHEMICALLY FREE...
UV-C germicidal irradiation provides a potent, cost-effective solution to upgrade protection against infection. Especially, upper-air purification has proven to be very effective. As there is no use of chemicals, this provides pure clean air that does not have harmful contaminants, such as harmful chemicals.
LUMINAIRE PLACED AT CEILING HEIGHT...
negates any possibility of UV-C light shining directly onto skin and exposure to eyes, this allows the normal day to day activity to take place in offices, gyms, schools, or any public area. While eliminating foreign pathogens 24 hours 7 days a week, without interruption, which is key to ensure purified air.
Ultraviolet-C (UV-C) short wave 254nm light is able to inactivate foreign pathogens by damaging nucleic acid, forming pyrimidine dimmer, inhibiting DNA/RNA replication, rendering them an inactive cellular function.
IMMEDIATE EXPOSURE TO UV-C light 254nm...
damages the DNA and RNA cells, so that they can't replicate, effectively killing or inactivating a microorganism or virus. The energy to excite doubly bonded molecules into a permanent chemical rearrangement, causing lasting damage to DNA and RNA, ultimately killing the cell, upper-air purification has proven to be very effective to supplement existing controls for TBC and other airborne diseases.
UV-C LIGHT 99.9% PROVEN TO...
eliminate all foreign pathogens, Moulds, Bacteria and Viruses, substantial data has been gained in showing the effectiveness of UV-C light, which provides a safe air purified facility, UV germicidal irradiation provides a potent, cost-effective solution against contaminated air. These droplet nuclei can be inhaled, spreading infections. It is estimated that up to 99% of airborne pathogens are destroyed.
WITHIN THE ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM...
far-UVC light 254 nm has been shown to be as efficient and it the most commonly employed type of UV-C light for germicidal application, which is a low-pressure mercury-vapor arc lamp, emitting around 254 nm; Many disease-causing organisms circulate on air currents in "droplet nuclei", 1 to 5 micron in size, that are expelled with a cough, sneeze or even with speech.
